At LaneCampos, the team started 2024 with more than 26 new properties signed for sale in the first three weeks of the year. The motivation to sell for our clients has been seen across all price points.

We are finding more and more clients are seeing the value of selling via auction. While it may not be everyone’s initial inclination, once we have the opportunity to explain the pro’s and con’s many see how this can secure them a higher price in a shorter timeframe.

Ring suburbs, such as Mayfield, Waratah, Adamstown, Maryville and Tighes Hill, remain popular and on most buyers' radar when searching for property. Buyers are coming from all walks of life. However, the biggest movers are first-home buyers and about-to-be-retirees.

There's an ongoing appetite for renovated properties and homes with a quirky character. We're also seeing increased demand for homes that need a complete renovation. Could this be a signal that building costs are becoming more affordable? Time will tell.

The team at LaneCampos helped many sellers secure buyers for their much-loved homes. Here are some recent examples:

Dave Lane sold a 3-bedroom home in Libya Street, Shortland in the first week in January. A staggering 8,417 buyers viewed this property online, making it one of the most viewed properties over the last 12 months.

Roland Campos was impressed with the reception at a home on sought-after Havelock Street, Mayfield. The owners bought the property from Roland many years back and sold it with him via our unique online auction campaign. After 30 minutes and multiple bids (42 bids, to be exact), the home was sold for $1,320,000.

Damian Rafty sold a meticulously maintained home at 7 Percy Street, Hamilton. After a biddy frenzy at auction, this beautiful period home sold for $1,466,000.

Bec Williams represented an awe-inspiring four-bedroom home on Russell Road, New Lambton. This was truly a home to be seen in person. After just four weeks this stunning home sold for $2,425,000

Toby Wilson had an interesting sale at 502/21 Newcomen Street, Newcastle, where everybody in the building knew everybody. Selling for $832,500, it exceeded the seller's expectations. To make things more interesting, the tenants of the apartment he was selling, were also the owners of the apartment that the buyer was currently renting in the same building…hopefully that make sense?
